This April, adopt an AWL NSW shelter dog for less than half-price

This autumn if you are looking for someone furry to warm the cockles of your heart, look no further. Animal Welfare League NSW is all set to unveil its next adoption drive.

Calling out to all dog lovers of the land, AWL NSW will be running special promotional offers on all canine companions at its Kemps Creek shelter.

The Barking Mad adoption drive will have all dogs above the age of seven months available to adopt at less than half-price. This special offer will run from April 1 to April 30, 2021.

The cultural shift prompted by COVID-19 lockdowns across the country saw a significant rise in the number of adoptions of shelter pets. This financial year AWL NSW has had more than 1030 animals find their forever homes.

AWL NSW CEO Mark Slater says, “We would like to invite people on a journey of bringing home a shelter animal. Post COVID-19, we have seen a spike in the number of people wanting to adopt more rescue pets. We have had a really good year with adoptions, and we would now like to pay it forward by offering a reduced rate on the dogs at our facility.”

He is also encouraging members of the public to share the word with friends and family. “Amazing stories start in shelters and rescues. Please inspire people to begin theirs,” he adds.

All AWL NSW pets come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and health checked. Conditions and standard adoption criteria apply.

There are additional opportunities to help our shelter animals by donating and enabling AWL NSW to carry on crucial work in the community. Learn more here – Donate Now To An Animal Shelter | Animal Welfare League NSW (awlnsw.com.au)
